Meet the team
Ash is a commercial transactions and media attorney with more than 15 years of experience managing the IP assets of companies across Silicon Valley, Silicon Beach and into Hollywood.
Before co-founding Tech Coast Partners, Ash was the President and founder of Novadios, a legal outsourcing firm that sought to challenge traditional market barriers by helping its U.S. clients reduce legal costs by providing them with access to the global legal professional services market. Ash began his legal career in San Francisco, working as a corporate lawyer in the private equity groups of Kirkland & Ellis, LLP; and Morrison & Foerster, LLP. He relocated to Los Angeles in 2004 to serve as Director of Legal Affairs at ABC Studios. Ash has been a member of the California Bar since 2001.
He holds an M.A. in law from Oxford University (1996), a J.D. from Stanford Law School (2000). Before attending law school, Ash served as the senior Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs advisor to the then-chairman of the U.S. Senate Finance Committee in Washington, D.C. Ash earned a bachelor’s degree in politics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1993.
Before co-founding Tech Coast Partners, Laurence was Vice President of Commercial Transactions at Novadios, where he focused on IT procurement (hardware, software and SaaS solutions), general procurement, licensing, M&A and real estate.
While obtaining his M.B.A. with honors in Media Management and Strategy from Columbia Business School in 2009, Laurence worked in the business affairs office of an independent film production company in New York known for producing such films as “The Savages,” “21 Grams” and “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.” From 2001 to 2006, Laurence was a corporate associate in the New York office of Morrison & Foerster, where he specialized in corporate finance, asset-based lending and financial restructurings, representing clients including Wells Fargo, Goldman Sachs, Bank of America and J.P. Morgan Chase.
Laurence graduated in 2001 with a J.D. from Stanford Law School and is a member of the New York and California Bar Associations. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Yale University, where he graduated with distinction.
Carolina is an Associate at Tech Coast Partners, with a practice focus on commercial transactions in the technology and media sectors, and corporate governance. Caro formerly worked as the Associate Manager of Novadios in Argentina, where she trained incoming foreign attorneys on U.S. legal principles.
Caro graduated with honors from the LLM program at Fordham School of Law in 2015, and studied law at Catholic University in Cordoba, Argentina (2006). Caro is a member of the New York Bar.
